Toma
Toma’s Light in a Broken Home
Seventeen-year-old Toma (a pseudonym) once had a complete family with three sisters, a brother, and loving parents—but now, all of that is just a memory. After her parents’ divorce, she now lives in a small one-room shelter in Dhaka with her younger siblings. Both her mother and father have moved on with new partners, leaving Toma to carry the weight of the household alone.
She has become the caregiver—cooking, cleaning, looking after her brother and sister—all while continuing her studies. Bijoy Ministry stands beside her, providing educational support, regular home visits, and emotional encouragement.
Toma feels deeply discouraged. She struggles to love her parents, who abandoned her for their own interests. And yet, she hasn’t given up—because she knows Jesus. Her faith in the Lord gives her strength, teaches her patience, and ignites hope for a brighter future.
Toma’s story is not only one of sorrow—it is a testimony of perseverance, where the love of Jesus is the anchor in a broken life.
Your support can bring light to the lives of many others like Toma. A gift today could be the beginning of hope for their tomorrow.
Ayesha
Behind Ayesha’s Bright Smile Lies a Story of Silent Struggle
Ayesha is a cheerful, friendly, and soft-spoken 16-year-old girl. At first glance, you’d never guess the weight of hardship she carries on her young shoulders.
Her father, Md. Falu Miah, and mother, Bedana Khatun, run a small, temporary onion and potato stall in a local market. Ayesha lives with them and her three brothers and one sister in a modest home. Despite the financial hardship, her heart is filled with big dreams.
She is passionate about her studies and determined to change her future. To support her education, she works part-time as a domestic helper, doing household chores for others. Every morning begins with fatigue, but her radiant smile reflects her unwavering faith and inner strength.
At Bijoy Ministry, we stand beside her on this journey—providing educational support, encouragement, and prayer. This year, she is preparing for her S.S.C. (Secondary School Certificate) exams. It is her deep trust in Jesus that keeps her moving forward.
Ayesha is a regular member of our G-Team. She knows that Jesus loves her, and that love gives her the courage to face each day with hope. Her warm nature and ability to connect with others have made her well-loved by everyone around her. Yet few know how difficult life truly is in her home.
There are many girls like Ayesha—filled with potential but held back by poverty.
Your kindness can help change their story.
A simple gift from you today could mean a textbook, exam fee, or a few more meals for Ayesha’s family.

Let’s turn her story of struggle into a story of hope, courage, and a future full of possibilities.
Nayon Hossain
Nayon lives with his mother and two-and-a-half-year-old brother in a small room of only 100 square feet. His father lives elsewhere with his second wife. He does not contribute to their family now. Nayon’s mother can not do any job or any other work because she has to look after the younger son. Most of the time, they can only eat one meal.
In the midst of hundreds of struggles, there is great hope in Nayon’s life. He just needs a helping hand. Under these circumstances, it is impossible for his family to continue the cost of his education. So we want to stand beside Nayon.
This is the home of Nayon, his brother, and his mother.
