A Macedonian Call
A Safe Home for Vulnerable Girls in Need of Hope and Protection
“Come over to Macedonia and help us.” — Acts 16:9
From the shadows to the Light
They come to us from painful and broken places—girls who have been hurt, rejected, and left behind by those who should have cared for them.
Many carry deep, unseen wounds. Some face rejection due to family pressures, personal life decisions, or the difficult environments they come from.
These are not just numbers. They are daughters—brave, deeply loved by God, and full of hope for healing.
One 17-year-old girl—let’s call her Mysha—shared part of her story with us. When she was 17 years old, after her parents remarried, Mysha and her two younger siblings were left to survive on their own without proper care or support.
“My parents remarried and left us behind four years ago. We were just three children trying to survive on our own.
I was so angry I wanted to hurt them… but I didn’t. Because Jesus taught us to forgive.”
Maisha and her younger siblings have grown up regularly involved with our ministry; alongside other children like them. This is where they find support and stability.
Mysha’s story is not unique. Many girls are trying to rebuild their lives in the middle of deep hardship like hers. Yet the very steps they take toward hope often to increase their risk.
They need a place where they can rest, heal, and rebuild their lives.
The Beginning of the Call
Since 2003, we have been walking alongside girls like Mysha—those crying out from places of pain and uncertainty.
Our journey began when we saw hungry children searching for food in the trash near our home. That moment broke our hearts, and we knew God was calling us to respond.
So, we said yes.
A mission beyond aid
With God’s help, we are reaching into communities where many children and families face hardship—bringing not only practical support, but also love, care, and hope.
We serve children regardless of background, especially those who are vulnerable, marginalized, or at risk.
We provide school supplies, tuition support, and medical care. But beyond that, we walk with them toward healing, dignity, and a renewed sense of identity and purpose.
Through after-school programs, mentoring, youth camps, and workshops, we partner with local churches to support and guide the next generation—helping them grow in character, faith, and resilience.
The Challenge We Face
Our ministry center is a small 70 m² rented apartment in Dhaka. There’s no outdoor space, and we can’t fit more than 20 people at once. No ability to provide residential care. When vulnerable girls come seeking safety and support, we are often unable to accommodate them due to limited space.
The urgent need for a SAFE HOME
Across Bangladesh, many girls face family breakdown, early marriage, abuse, neglect, and rejection. When they make personal or faith-based decisions, they are often left without protection.
We have already helped three teenage girls reach temporary safe homes. Today, they are safe, healing, and rebuilding their lives.
But for every girl we help, many more remain at risk — with nowhere safe to turn.
The need is urgent. The time to act is now.
Why a Permanent Safe Home Matters
A permanent Safe Home will provide:
- A transition to relocate them toward a better, long-term solution
- A secure place for immediate protection
- Stability for long-term care
- Space to serve more girls in need
- A structured pathway toward restoration and independence
This is no longer just a vision—it is a necessary next step.
The vision:A Place of HOPE
We are establishing a Safe Home where vulnerable girls can find:
- Protection and stability
- Emotional healing and care
- Access to education
- Spiritual guidance and mentorship
We envision accommodating 20–25 girls at a time, providing not just shelter, but a pathway to a restored life.
The Property: Campbijoy
By God’s provision and the support of partners, we have secured a property—Campbijoy.
- Located in a safe and accessible area on the outskirts of the city
- 35 decimals (approx. 15,245 sq. ft.) of land
- Former kindergarten facility
It includes:
- Multiple rooms ready for renovation
- A small playground
- Existing electricity and clean water
- Space for future development
With renovation, this property can become a safe home.
Key Development Needs
To make the Safe Home operational, the following work is required:
- Construction of a protective boundary wall
- Repairs to bathrooms and sanitation facilities
- Kitchen and dining setup
- Beds and essential items for 20–25 girls
- Structural improvements (windows, ceilings, flooring, painting)
- Land preparation and outdoor space
- Transportation support for education and essential needs
