Providing a Safe-HOME and Hope
for Vulnerable Girls
Dear Potential Partner,
At Bijoy Ministries, we are embarking on a transformative journey to provide a safe home for vulnerable girls from Muslim families facing incredible challenges due to their Christian faith. Many of these girls come from broken homes or families struggling with daily subsistence.
Our mission is to create a home where these girls can access shelter, education, vocational training, and spiritual guidance. This home will empower them to build independent and hopeful futures grounded in faith and resilience.
The Urgent Need
Many young girls in neigboring communitries who have been influened by our ministry face forced marriage, exploitation, and persecution simply because they believe in Christ. These girls are in desperate need of a safe home where they can thrive, grow, and receive the love and care they deserve.
Our Vision
The Bijoy Ministries Safe Home Project provides shelter, education, vocational training, and spiritual guidance to vulnerable girls from Muslim backgrounds in Bangladesh facing persecution for their Christian faith. By addressing immediate needs and fostering long-term empowerment, the project offers hope and transformation for marginalized communities.
Our Objectives Include
1. Develop a Safe Home
Create a secure and nurturing environment at a newly acquired campsite to protect vulnerable girls facing threats, such as forced marriage and exploitation, particularly due to their Christian faith.
2. Provide access to education.
Ensure formal and vocational education for vulnerable girls to empower them with knowledge and skills for future independence.
3. Offer holistic support services.
Address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the girls through comprehensive counseling, vocational training, and
spiritual growth programs.
4. Facilitate Post-Transition Support
Guide the girls toward sustainable futures through mentorship, education placement, and employment opportunities after
completing the two-year transition program.
5. Raise awareness and mobilize Support
Highlight the challenges faced by vulnerable girls and build community and organizational support for the project.
6. Ensure Sustainable Operations
Develop self-sustaining income-generating activities and partnerships to maintain long-term operations.
Necessary Work To Do
- Construction of a protective border wall
- Four bathroom and 4 toilet facilities repairs
- Preparing a kitchen and a dining area
- Organizing 20 beds and kitchen utensils for 20 girls
- Land reclamation and compact work for play ground
- Window, ceiling, floor tiles replacement, painting
- A vehicle for local transportation
